“Everything in the universe has rhythm. Everything dances.” – Maya Angelou
Featured at ASK, Arts Society of Kingston (New York) 97 Broadway, are the extraordinary photographs of dancers taken by my friend Phyllis McCabe. The Gallery is open Tuesday – Saturday 1:00 – 5 pm or by appointment 338-0331.
“Over the past three years dance, with is movements, colors and emotions, has captured my camera’s eye and my heart. I want to share my vision with you and hope you will see the beauty as I do.” -McCabe.
Still shots of dancers are needed to show a movement that we do not catch with our eyes because of speed – the lovely arch of a back or the extension of a leg. God has designed the body in the womb and once that body enters the world – the heart finds its passion and direction. Dancers fine tune the body as a work of art. Try not to miss this exhibit of 68 works of art caught in an instant by master photographer Phyllis McCabe!
