Autumn Stever (17 years old on May 19, 2017) is my art assistant for the younger art class (ages 6 – 9) on Wednesday afternoons.  Portraits are the most difficult subject matter in all of art. In order to teach it to my young and older students, I need to show them that I can achieve a likeness in my work. The personality needs to come through as well as the technical aspects. It helps that I know Autumn after working with her as a student for four years and as an assistant for two years. This portrait and others will be on display at our show at the Dutch Ale House during the months of May and June 2017. Daily Hours: 11 am – 9 pm.

I am beginning a series of portraits of my art students. Some of them have come to me for classes for several consecutive years. Their artwork and mine will be on display beginning  May 5 through June 30 at the Dutch Ale House, 253 Main Street, Saugerties, NY. Reception: May 7 Sunday 4 – 6 pm.

KBS is preparing for our 27th Annual Art Show to be hosted by Johnny and Karyn Pavich at the Dutch Ale House, 253 Main Street, Saugerties, NY. There will be an abundance of artwork by students of all ages and instructor during the months of May and June 2017. A public reception will be held on Sunday May 7, 2017 at 4 – 6 pm.  Awards will be presented at 5 pm.
